Who We Are

Neon Law (Shook Law PLLC) or its affiliate lawyers are legal providers that render services through this site.

Information We Collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and the details you share when you contact us, request legal assistance, make a donation, or sign up for one of our programs.
  • Information created when you use the site: account and sign-in information, basic security and session cookies, and limited server log data such as your IP address.
  • Your legal matter: the documents and communications you send us, which may be stored in our secured Google shared drive.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Neon Law (Shook Law PLLC) runs a text-messaging program so that people who contact us, and clients, can reach the firm and hear back from it by text. This section is the complete terms of that program.

How you join. You agree to receive texts from us in one of three ways: by checking the text-message box on a contact form on one of our sites, which covers texts about that inquiry; by texting us first, which covers our replies to you; or by agreeing to texts when you become a client, which covers your matter. Giving us your number without one of those steps does not enroll you. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of hiring the firm or of buying anything.

What we send. Replies to your inquiry, appointment reminders, document requests, case-status updates, and answers to your questions. Some messages may be sent by automated systems. Message frequency varies.

What it costs. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier sets those rates, not us.

How to stop. Reply STOP to any message. We send one text confirming you have opted out and nothing after it. Plain words like "stop", "cancel", "unsubscribe", "quit", or "end" work too, and so does emailing or calling us. We honor every opt-out within ten business days and usually the same day.

Help. Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at contact@neonlaw.com or the phone number in the Contact Us section below.

Delivery. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

What we keep. When you check the box, we record the time, the page you were on, the number you gave, and the exact wording you agreed to, and we keep that record for as long as we keep your inquiry. We keep it so we can show that you asked us to text you.

We do not share or sell your mobile phone number or your SMS consent to any third parties or affiliates, and we never share them for anyone's marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy. We use them only to communicate with you as described here.

AI Assistance (Navigator)

When you use our Navigator assistant, your messages may be processed by a third-party AI provider to generate a response. We do not use your conversations to train third-party models. If you would rather not use Navigator, you can contact us directly instead.

Who We Share Information With

We rely on trusted service providers, under contract, to operate our services. We disclose information to law enforcement only when legally required, and we will tell you when we are permitted to do so.

Your Privacy Rights

You always have the right to delete. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, email support@neonlaw.com.

Attorney-Client Privilege

Once an attorney-client relationship is formed, your communications with our attorneys are protected by attorney-client privilege to the fullest extent permitted by law, and we do not disclose confidential client communications without your consent. Browsing this site or sending a general inquiry does not by itself create that relationship.

Data Security and Retention

We make commercially reasonable efforts to safeguard your information, and we keep it only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as the law requires. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
